Honda Yuasa BTCC Team Dynamics Competition
Two
lucky Formula Student entrants spent the day with
motorsport champions Honda Yuasa BTCC team, Team
Dynamics. Russell Paddon, from the University of
Hertfordshire, and Chris Gomm, from the University of
Leeds, attended an Engineers Day at the Donington Park
round of the British Touring Car Championship.
Chris
said: "The Engineers Day was exceptionally
insightful as it gave me a view of the day to day
running of a top level professional race
team.”
Russell
said: “The lessons I learnt from the day with the
Honda Yuasa Racing Team is that victory comes at a cost,
long hours, hard work and determination. However,
with perseverance and a goal you can achieve success and
realise your potential.”

& Volunteers application forms
received
Over
300 people from companies such as Rolls-Royce,
Williams F1, Siemens, Lotus F1 and Aston Martin
have applied to become a judge or volunteer at
FS2012. Roles include static event judging,
scrutineering and dynamic event volunteering.
Applications have now closed but there are many
other ways that you can volunteer within the
Institution. Register
as a volunteer. |

A total of £20,000 worth of
funding from the Institution has been allocated to
seven FS teams. Congratulations to the University
of Hertfordshire, Brunel University, University of
Sussex, Coventry University, University of
Warwick, Cairo University and TU Budapest.
